EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Have you ever been confident in your skills and abilities, but your mind prevents you from utilizing them? Thought holds a lot of power over the body, and recently, experts have been studying this theory and defining it as Emotional Intelligence. It is defined as, "The ability, capacity, skill or, in the case of the trait EI model, a self-perceived ability, to identify, assess, and manage the emotions of one's self, of others, and of groups" Wikipedia . When one has difficulties managing their emotions, it often prevents them from staying focused, while seeping them into modes of anxiety. Ultimately, it prevents the individual from accomplishing goals. From a Corporate Training standpoint, one should be sensitive to these needs, and after mastering their own emotions, work to establish that employees have the same luxury. It will ensure that workers remain confident in their abilities and focused on the goals ahead of them.
